anyone have a link for the actual law or what we are required to keep etc? all i get is statements when i search.

also are we required to actually post publically a persons contact or simply make that information avaiable upon request. Kinda feels like your registering as a sex offender or something putting up signs in the neighbourhood saying "i abuse kids" or something. where are OUR privacy rights? hehe

OH, and that is USA law isn't it? does that actually apply to out of USA countries, i.e. Canada? and are there any Canadian laws too for the same thing? i see a lot of peeps from canada on here so maybe someone can answer that

I find it highly unlikely they would bag you for a 2257 violation as long as your models are over 18, but I would still consult a lawyer if I were you.

that would depend on Canadas laws....what are the laws in Canada for record keeping if any?

i'm currently not aware of any however i will need to look into that obviously. but all the canadian sites ive seen claim they are compliant with the USA law. just doesn't make sense to me.

Must be nice :-) Here it's a frantic scramble to prove your models are all over 18, even if their 50. I think a lot of Canadians are putting the statements up to appease U.S. IPSPs as well as their paranoid U.S. customers and affiliates. I know IBill now has a directive that all of the adult websites they currently process for must have a 2257 statement on their sites.
