What's a debugger

Been trying to play my Microsoft flying game and it will not load.

Last night it crashed while I was playing it and now when I try to run it all I get is a pop up message. That says

"A debuuger has been detected.
Unload the debugger and try again."

Any suggestion how I do this?

Get a new computer or a 100k TGP.

I duno much about that error, I would check it out on deja.com or the forums for the game.

But a debugger is used to well find bugs in computer code to fix problems. Usually you would have one if you installed some sort of IDE enviroment like Visual Studio or something.

So I guess you do not know.

I already tried to find it in Task Manager and reloaded the whole Combat Flight program.

I'm worried this debugger will affect something else.

Thanks psyko514 but I know that one, but what if a newbie tried it? Not funny or clever.

i'd be impressed if a newbie knew what that meant, knew that he had to type it at a DOS prompt, figured out how to pull up a DOS prompt, typed that, hit enter, and then hit Y for YES when it asked if he wanted to format his hard drive which would result in losing all the contents of his drive.

it's a GFY running joke. get with the times.

If you have some dude that comes in that knows video games, he will probably be able to fix it in a minute or two. You probably just need to download a patch or do a little fix.

A debugger is an application that usualy runs along side a program when you are testing it...

Also in some cases it could be the compile engine but I doubt it in this case...

I would say that
1) MS shipped the product still in debug mode
2) There should be a patch to fix it, check the support site.

By the way..your prob going to get a bunch of smart ass answers about the brittish term bugger...
