My hands hurt.

Lately I wake up in the morning to my hands aching and my joints swollen.. I know I have carpal, but do I have arthritis too? I'd go to my doctor but he's a fucking quack, and none of the other doctors in town will take me because I already have a doctor (there is currently a one year waiting list to get a GP in Banhahahahaha right now). Suggestions?

If you masturbate too much your hands will hurt. Repetitive motion

But seriously, watch the stress on your hands. Any kind of injury like that reaggraviting it is the worst. Not exactly the same but I fucked up my knee again and I wish I hadn't. Damn paint ball. :Graucho

B-A-N-C-R-O-F-T is too similar to A-S-H-C-R-O-F-T. Maybe Lens doesn't like Lara? I think the word C-R-O-F-T is banned.

Well I've had steadily deteriorating carpal for about 4 years now. The doctor wants to operate, but there is NO fucking way I'm gonna have an arm in a cast for 6 weeks (each arm) when I've got my hands full of a 5 year old and a 3 year old. That just doesn't work.. so I'm patiently waiting until their a little older to get things fixed.. However this is getting worse every morning.. makes me not want to wake up it's getting so bad.. ugh! And the swelling.. I guess I'll have to break down and go see some doctor.

You know I have been noticing the exact same thing. My hands ache all the time. I know its from working with the keyboard and mouse too much. And I'm the worst for sitting properly. I am usually at an angle, not sitting properly.

The doctor gave me Vioxx and that works pretty good. I find if I take calcium supplements it also helps.

Can it be artritis... if all your joints hunt, not only your hands. Congrats on the dr.

You might try a herbal treatment for the joints which also helps with carpal, herbalife joint support.

Dammit, what else can we do but send you some positive energy?

Not too much of a congrats on the dr, he's a fucking crackhead.. he's killed two of my family members from sheer stupidity in the last two years. I refuse to go and see him because he's a total moron.

But I appreciate the energy..I was just wondering if anyone else has this.. It's 3-4 weeks to get a doctor's appointment, so most people who wanna see a doc before then go to the hospital.. I might just have to do that.

The information about miocyclene is interesting, but I don't even know what's wrong with my hands ;P

I'd have to check it out wth a doc, maybe i'm just getting old.

Well the theory for the minocycline is that the 'bugs'... like mycoplasmas and other bacterias and viruses like to hang out in your joint & spinal fluids.

When you get older, or your immune system gets compromised... more 'bugs' are allowed to flourish in your system.

I thought it might be arthritis too, but the doctor thought it was just years of over use. I used to get up in the morning and put ice packs on my hands just to get the swelling down so I could work. But its actually not as bad right now . swelling isn't there as much but the aching still is.

I keep wondering what my hands will be like by the time I'm 60!

Try checking out some herbal remedies first.

you know LM when I had maternal carpal tunnel when I was pregnant I went to a store and purchased roller blading wrist guard things. They have a metal support that runs from your palm across the wrist. I picked them up for less thatn $20 and they made all the difference in the world. Try wearing those when you're working on the computer. Your fingers are totally unemcumbered so you can still type and use the mouse.
