Hrmm....conversion %s
Bored while waiting to go out.......thoughts fly into my head.
If people say , for instance, that they have a 1:500 conversion rate (while most sites that post their % have much better, it's just an example), wouldn't that mean they get 1 signup out of every 500 uniques? Or do they mean that they convert 1 out of every 500 free trials into paying members? If that's the case, that is terrible! Adult dating converts about 1:12 (for free trials into paying members). If case 1 is true and it is out of visitors, why wouldn't they just purchase a large amount of traffic and get rich without doing anything ;p ie. become an affiliate that pays you let's say $20 per signup. Buy 10K traffic for $50, at 1:500 you "should" get 20 signups = $400. Meaning $380 profit for doing nothing but putting up 1 page. Of course multiply this by buying much more traffic and bam...free money. I'm pretty damn sure this isn't how it works ;p....so where does the conversion rate formula fail here ?? |
you're thinking *way* too much.

Sorry I'll try and stop ;p

Conversion ratio usually means qualified entries into the site versus signups. In this case you are qualifying surfers by showing them your speil on your traffic landing page, and including a link to the site. You are assuming you'll get 100% clickthrough on that link. It's not that easy. :)

The ratio they show is based on uniques, NOT signups. Too lazy to figure out the free:pay ratio, if your good witht hat shit, you can tell me what it is lol Click Here To Promote RedPartners :thumbsup |

Pay sites usually work because the tours market the site to the surfer over several pages. If they are presented with a signup form on your (single) landing page then you probably won't be converting at 1:500. |

yes i dont send them much traffic at all, but this thread was about impressive conversions, not impressive traffic lol |
If you buy 10K of traffic and send it to a paysite, youll be lucky to get 1 sign-up. When people talk about conversions of 1:500 and below they are usually talking about clicked traffic. This means that the surfer clicked a link that said something like "Click here to go to iteens.com" or a banner. The traffic you buy for $50 for 10k is exit traffic or pop-up traffic which means the surfer gets to your site wether they want to or not.

Im not up to date on his gallery prices, lets say its still $1 per 1k .. $500 for 500k hits Lets assume a 6% CTR = 30k to the sponsors front door. A bad day should bring you 1:1500 .... So on a bad day your making 20 sales, possibly $700 ofcourse it can most likely be alot worst, but also alot better ... ive never really tested his traffic on high levels. Anyone ever try it? |

Well, ND sucks according to everyone ... but 1:1139 is actually high for me .... it is usually around 1:600 or 1:800 or so not sure what happened, lol |
