automation of updates vs. contracting the task...
 

Anybody have any experience with updating content on sites which of these is desirable or possible? Updating means uploading content/editing some text/and updating html

1. full automation, virtually no human required
2. semi-automated - some uploading of files/editing required
3. manual - somebody does it manually

In other words, from a complexity and cost point of view, is it best to automate part of the process or just contract out the updating?
