What is the benefit of a sponsor offering $60 signups.

I am not trashing anyone here but I'm just wondering what is the benefit on the sponsors end? We get $60 but what does the sponsor really get?

EXPOSURE!

he hopefully gets some attention and some new affiliates drawn in by the promotion as well as some affiliates he already has who haven't been sending much or any traffic to pump some traffic for the $60 buck day and will keep doing it.

It's a promotion, might cost them some money but it's probably worth it. ANOTHER ARS INVENTION!!!

anybody remember the clusterfuck on that one? JoeE pumped tons of traffic to ARS for the day but discovered the servers were only set up to handle a couple of hundred concurrent connections. JoeE said it was deliberate.

I agree, and I am currently pushing some traffic to the current promotion with a site I usually get about 5-7su's a day. Although if it does go well I wouldn't have an issue promoting them all the time. But It just seems I don't do as well during these periods. And it could be that everyone else is promoting them also.

Who really knows, I don't

Do the sums, unless the sponsor is making alot out of the customer once they have him, the whole thing doesn't add up.

The big players can afford to spend some money for exposure and thus you can probably trust that kind of program, otherwise if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Customers are worth money if you market to them properly once signed up however $60 payout is a lot of ground to cover.

At the end of the day, whether you give any sponsor support is up to you.

Ever notice how many sponsors have other sponsors links on their pop ups? And have 5-7 pop ups when a promotion pays that much on a sign up?

Just a thought but I think the amount of money they make off of the increased traffic with the extra pop ups may offset the promotion some. Or maybe even make it worth while.
