any tips for stopping gallery cheaters?
 

Why is it that a gallery can sit in my queue for a month and it's never changed, but within 5 minutes of posting that gallery it's redirected to a dialer?

How do they know when their gallery is going to start getting traffic to it? Do they have some setting to wait until the gallery gets traffic before it starts to redirect?

They're out for blood lately. :helpme

Auto gallery pro is great for having linkchecker..It must delete 1500 galleries per day because of redirects ,no recips and 404's etc

I use Brownie now but it doesn't delete anything. I've had bad galleries throwing dialer exe's for 12 hours and brownie doesn't recognize it as a bad gallery and delete it.

For 55 bucks it was one of the best investments I ever made.It has thumb preview also..I heard good things about brownie but its like 6 or 7 hundred bucks?...ouch :(

Ok, fuck you people..I got the best idea here..save all your money and let people submit there gallery check them out manual and then just put it on your server and hot link there pics...easy as 1, 2 and fucking 3.

A gallery take around 0.005 MB..

btw, put up a hot link protection script on those galleries..thats it.

Yes I know you cant do 2000 galleries / day. this is for smaller tgps only. (niche)

Actually I imagine it wouldnt be too hard for someone to code such a thing into a script..

Submitter hits submit... script runs through a code check (bad code) and if it passes uploads the html into a folder..

The thing with all tgps out there is that 95% isnt a niche(sorry moma)instead it is a tgp with more galleries with mature galleries etc.

I do, if you submit a gallery and then send me an email telling me what url you submitted I can approve it and give you a partner status : )

Get a better script. Comus thumbs script for example lets you delete anything of your choice. Example, you can disallow certain sponsors or anything in referral code like .exe files (dialers).

Update your site with only hosted galleries and you wont have to worry about cheaters.... If now your saying that there is not enough hosted gals to update with daily then hit me up on icq: 167019888.

You might want to check with Germes before you buy something else. Brownie is the best thing I've seen for catching cheating galleries and deleting them, you just have to have the settings right in order for it to work for you.

I do tell him about it. I like him, he's a great guy and a brilliant programmer, but when I tell him about it he just says to leave the bad galleries there and don't delete them, so the script can recognize them.

I'm supposed to leave bad galleries sitting there, in high spots, throwing popups and dialers hour after hour, all day long, and not delete them. wtf?

And thats what sucks about it.AGP does it any time you want also automatically.Brownie is great but could be way better if they listened to the users more often.

One they check their status URL and can see action, two most only redirect every so many clicks..
Do what I did, get enough partner submits and quit taking them from a submit form..Ya don't even have to review them that way!

buy brownie.. ask Germes for some modifications. Add webmaster levels and only allow partner submitters.

Had to blacklist only 2 guys in the past 6 month
