A new disease is out and I have the domain name..What to do with it?
 

Since my dumbass was less than 24 hours late to register monkeypox.com and the dude from Wetlands bought it, I've been hoping that another new disease could make it big...

My prayers have been answered (I think) by a new disease I heard about on MSNBC called "Rabbit Fever"...It was just announced today and it's already in the search engines...ONce I heard the news report, I had rabbitfever.com registered within three minutes.....NOw I have to hope that the disease spreads a little bit so that it will get more notoriety...But once that happens, what should I be doing with this domain?

1. redirect it to a sponsor of my choice
2. build a BS "informational site" on rabbit fever with links to sponsors of my choice
3. try to sell it

I will have it hosted by tomorrow hopefully...Maybe I can cash in on some quick traffic..I don't know if the counter on monkeypox.com is correct but he seems to have gotten MILLIONS of hits on that site in a short amount of time..

Any feedback?

If I remember correctly, there was a law passed recently that stated you could not have misleading domain names. Having a disease name lead to a porn site is extremely misleading.

Why worry about how others get away with it? Cover your own ass.

Well, the guy from the wetlands has also hijacked several terrorist websites, including the one that Al Queda was using to transmit information. He should be applauded (and it has gotten featured on several news sites, including CNN.)

Dont put hardcore porn on the domain. There probably isnt that big of a problem putting clearly described links to porn sites, but dont put porn on the actual domain. Pills sponsers might be good, or put links to news sites.

Wait till they find a cure, then sell it to the main drug developer. They would likely pay millions for it.
