A box of network cards? LOL. I still use a version B of the card from 1998.

Parallel processing, w00t.

haven't used those before, are they 10mb or ISA? ;P

i've just used these for years, and i love them to death. they work flawlessly out of the box with about anything, and seem very durable... they're in all my servers and boxes, except my current workstation because it came with decent onboard lan.

but these things always work with FreeBSD or whatever.. just plug in and run. i think i have like 13 of them now or something.

i also have some older ones that are 10mb only.. i don't use them, but they're around here somewhere...

They are a classic card but never were designed for servers. They have very little cache on them.

yeah, but you know my prize server is an amd k6-2 550, which the board won't support so it's running at 450 with an 8gb and 6gb hdd's, and 196mb of ram.

i'm talking about the servers and stuff i run and play with on my lines and such, not the stuff that hosts my sites, those are with hosting co's.

never had a problem with them, including hosting web pages, game servers and the like.

probably going to upgrade my main server soon though, want to do some more intensive dev and stuff.
