Do you advertise your sites off the internet?
 

EscortBiz on another thread asked for some ideas on newspapers that will allow adult ads for his services.

This made me think, how many of us use non-internet advertising to push traffic to our sites?

Do you advertise in magazines, newspapers, direct mail, bill boards, etc???

Score, Hustler, Paul Raymond Publications, Sunday Sport are alll doing well with advertising in their magazines. I think it depends on what and how you advertise.

But at least they are targeting a market prepared to pay for porn.

The most effective ad campaign Ive EVER seen offline for a website is for littlejodi.com

In Australia, at traffic intersections there are signs saying "keep Left" on the pedestrian Islands between lanes.

On the back of just about EVERY "keep left" sign in Brisbane Metro - someone has plastered a VERY plain black and white "www.littlejodi.com" sticker

everytime you drive or catch a bus, ride a bike - you see em - at every interesection

they are also all over bus stops, trash can holders- everything

I garauntee if you asked anyone from Brisbane (not in the biz) to name a porn site they would say "little jodi"

i'm planning on doing that type of shit.

it's down right now because there's been some heat from the cops in montreal lately. they busted out city's largest crew and they claimed they did so with the help of websites and chat rooms.

when it was up, it was montreal's second biggest graffiti website.

we have pretty tough fines in my home town coz its a pretty small place and mostly old people live here - so of course they frown on it
I managed to talk the local council into giving us 3 walls and they also bought us $2000 worth of cans and let us rip!

well, as much as i hate people getting locked up for graff, i'm not disillusioned. i know what we're doing is wrong and illegal.

we have a few legal walls here too. we even had a whole interchange with a shit load of walls made legal for a few weeks.

we also have a great convention in august with writers from across the world.

my site will probably be back up this summer. i'll let you know :)
