Longest subscribing active member?
 

No..this isn't spam :) Infact, I dumped my signature to do this post. I just thought this was kind of cool.

I was going back through the early days of when we opened our first pay site and found a guy that's been active since 3 weeks after we opened the site.

That's going on 4 years now - i'm beginning to think the guy may have died and VISA didn't notice :)

i hear back then ppl would just keep the subscription in their visa.. now with internet banking, they get real time stats... and a greater chance of refunds

i still have people rebilling from over 3 years ago. not sure the exact date because its all epoch.

I got 8 members to my virginiaamateurs site that has been with me since i started apr 2 years ago but they only get rebilled at 10.00 per month lol thats what i use to charge now i charge 29.95 haha but they have been loyal members pretty kool imo

there are a couple sites i haven't sent hits to in over 3 years that i still get rebills on. also i had one guy who rebilled on this gay site for 4 years. he only quit three months ago. i'll miss him *LOL*

To be honest i think some of them have simply forgot and dont check hes bills "at all" :1orglaugh

That or they might think the internet is just 1 site :thumbsup

I have a couple sites that I haven't promoted in years that are still recurring every month, its nice.

I was thinking that maybe they died too.

We had a few long time subscribers up to around 3 years when we dumped Ibill last year. Surprisingly one of the rejoined under Verotel and has been with us since.

I guess some people just become loyal or either that they get so used to accessing the site they cant bring themselves to stop.

I think a lot of this depends on how you regard your members and the service you offer.

Treat them like members of a club and you will keep them longer.

Treat them like cattle and maybe someone else will round them up.

died....nah......probably will dissappear once the credit card they entered hits the expiration date they inputted though. ;)

I have three guys that signed up for my very first site 1.7 years ago. LOL Still billing :)

I have many over 1 1/2 years with one sponsor. Had many with the same sponsor that were over 3 years when I sold a domain and recurring customers went with it 1 1/2 years ago.

I think some of these guys signed up with their business credit cards that get paid off every month by their secretaries and they probably just forgot to cancel. It is a nice bonus if you build up enough of those longtime rebills. :Graucho

Not my longest but I had a guy that was a member for a year and a half or so and would write us nice emails about once or twice a month to say how he liked our site and put in requests or what not. A real friendly chap actually. So he then wrote saying he wished he could continue his membership but it was no longer in his budget. So I gave him another 6 months free. He was happy as a clam. :D

Our longest is 6 years, 2 months, 13 days and counting.
He still comes to the site too. It is not just his estate paying his visa bill.

i have a handful of guys that are still members to Chisel going back to 96'.
