censoring tgp galleries??
 

ok, building some galleries with someone that has the request to censor the tgp galleries due to government 2257 concerns.

now, this wouldn't be an entirely bad idea, and i'm not opposed to it. however, i have some concerns about it converting. granted i still get paid for what i do, but i can't have people with really poor conversions on my stuff.

i can just basically omit the pics with genitals and use content without, which i am trying to do, but some of the content just doesn't allow this. so, instead the pictures must be censored.

now if i just crop out the censored areas from the thumbs, that makes the gallery look better. but, the large images still have the censoring. i'm also concerned that this will affect the acceptance of the galleries at tgps. and there are only so many poses a girl can do from the waist up. yes, yes, some of them are workable from other angles. but still, variety is the spice of life.

so basically i'm just wondering how much of a concern is towards obscenity in galleries, and so forth? i'm not trying to go against anyone's request, i'm just worried about the conversion. i don't want it to suck.

anyways, no need to post galleries or names, so i won't.

Why not lens flare over the naughty bits? This is common practice on lot of amateur girl sites, so perhaps it works. Just a thought.

i agree 100%... but in a situation where the content you have is fairly limited, and you basically need to either make the gallery with 10 pics, or actively censor the image, is the censoring going to affect listing and conversions?

basically what i was doing, but this isn't a tour or anything.. it's a gallery. and to sell, it has to get listed.

that's what i figure, that's why i'm trying to exclude as much as i can from the thumbs. but i'm not sure that will make a difference.

I agree. I tried censoring once. I got listed at about 2 of 70 places I submitted to.

If your client is that worried, why not ask him if he'd be interested in promoting the panties niche. If you use a set where the girl is in panties in every one, you won't have to censor at all.

I'll warn you, however, not to even bother submitting to Richard's Realm. I submitted a panty gallery to him once and he declined it. Reason? "Not enough nudity!" The girl was topless in every pic and it was a PANTY gallery! LMAO Some people just don't get the clothing niches like panties. :1orglaugh

ok, i mis-stated. it's not really a 2257 thing, it's an obscenity-related thing. with all the hubbub about obscenity in different areas and such, my client is concerned with potential obscenity charges from some of those regions that like to go after people like that.

my client however is the sponsor, so it's not like they can just change a few affiliate codes and a content set.

i realize richard's will have nothing to do with galleries such as this, and tgp owners like that lead me to believe that they will not accept censored pics. don't get me wrong, i like richard's realm, just that they are very picky. it seems these days tgp's are getting very, very picky about what they list.

now i'm not really in a position to assume because i didn't ask or anything, but i would think that some of these will be used in paid spots. now that's not going to be an issue with the tgp owners so much... but as to then after it is listed if blatant censoring will actually convert, or if there will be a loss in interest.

i'm not sure how to draw the line between too much teasing, because it's a little different than the typical type of "tease" i use with content in galleries...
