I have a quick question for you.

it's in the Indian Ocean.... supposed to be the lowest elevation country... if the oceans ever rise, it'll be the first to go.

With the rising of the sea-level due to global warming, the Maldives might disappear. (the hightest point in male' is something like 8 ft above sea level. )

I hear they are thinking of moving all the people somewhere else and starting the country over in Indonesia.

Quite a few friends of mine have been there, one goes scuba-diving there regularly. He has an incredible slide-collection. Stunning place :)

too sweet.. i just checked it out ....I fight myself every year on where to go for my vacation..it either a choice between tropical islands or snowcovered mountains..:thumbsup

we've been talking about this here lately... where do ya go on vacation when ya live on Maui? Well, we've decided either one of the other Hawaiian islands, or Tahiti, or the Maldives.... :)

only got about another year to 18 months to go before we actually go anywhere tho...
