Ibill Visa Rebills

Seeing as how IBill has started to drop processing for sites with Adult content, has anyone been successful in getting their client's cc data from Ibill to process it elsewhere ??

If not, does anyone know if they will continue rebills for clients who used Visa to signup?

They refuse to answer my emails to premium...I figure before calling them and listening to their BS I'd ask here first.

Nevermind. Just saw the Canadian location.

aiken 06-24-2003 11:42 AM

I would be very interested to hear if anyone has gotten ibill to release CC data (if they have a merchant account), and/or transfer CC data to ccbill or another processor.

Cheers

Nothing to do with Canadians anymore. I'm in Canada, the site/company isn't ;p

They've started calling their large adult clients and informing them they can no longer process Visa for any adult content (we got the call Sunday night).

We process upwards of $300,000 USD / month with them and atleast 50% of that is probably Visa, so this is a huge problem if we cannot rebill our members.

Seems I really did miss something. Coo.

I'm off for popcorn if this really is a general thing.

XYCash 06-24-2003 12:00 PM

Anyone else get this phone call?

pornguy 06-24-2003 12:03 PM

That is the very first I have heard of it...

Anyone who can shed some light on this???

XYCash 06-24-2003 12:07 PM

its hard for me to believe Ibill would call anyone on any day of the week, much less a Sunday :)

I see nothing online anywhere about this.

Rich 06-24-2003 12:07 PM

Fuck, some spammer kid in another thread was able to get everyone's members' information from ibill, you should at least be able to get your own. :1orglaugh

KidCock 06-24-2003 12:11 PM

Hrm, what a shock....called IBill premium services and my rep was away from his desk ;p

Once/if I get called back, I'll update you folks on the happenings...I find it odd no one else here heard about this from Ibill yet? (or did everyone just have the good sense to drop them heh .....if only we didn't need them for our rebills grrrr)

300,000 a month holy shitniz..

that would make your yearly income. 3,600.000 a year..

Unless you are silvercash or adult.com I seriously doubt this!

Unfortunately, it's not my site I just work for the company =)

Remember that isn't PROFIT though......there is a big difference after expenses like paying affiliates are taken out ;p

It's not a pornsite though, just adult dating.

NetRodent 06-24-2003 12:25 PM

I just got off the phone with my rep at iBill. Appearently a of their clients were registered incorrectly with Visa. For those customers the rebills are on hold for 30 days so they can get their information into and approved by Visa. The problem doesn't affect us so I didn't pry too deeply.

I'm not sure on all the specific details, as the call went to my boss and not me ;p...He told me however that they said they will begin no longer processing Visa for adult-content sites and that they were calling to inform us of this. He does have a habit of exaggerating things though, so that's why I figured I'd ask on here.

I'll know everything once my rep calls me back though I guess....

Spoke with my rep now, same thing you wrote above. Our info is correct however so they said "Visa dropped the ball and we're trying to push them..it's not our fault or yours, it is Visa's".

As for the adult content, our rep confirmed that they will still process Adult with Visa, so I guess my boss was just wrong ;p

If you have a personal site how can you work legally?

Brad Mitchell 06-24-2003 01:34 PM

You can't legally transfer rebills from one 3rd party biller to another one.

I mean a pay personals and/or dating site. You said you have a dating site

KidCock 06-24-2003 02:12 PM

Ahh saying 'personal' not 'personals' site confused me there ;p

Yes that's basically the issue I had, as they are not "models", I asked my rep he is finding out for me if the text needs to be modified in any way.

EvilFubAr 06-24-2003 02:14 PM

SinEmpire is right; it?s not possible to move your rebills. You cannot change the "billed as" on any purchase. Also ibill doesn?t keep as much of the ccard info as you think, It?s their processor that keeps the ccard #, they don't store the entire # anywhere in their system. Last I understood.

Nugget 06-24-2003 03:45 PM

I just got this e-mail from ibill as well, not sure what they mean by it, are they expecting us to post where we got our photos from? i mean my site has 250,000 photos, some are leased from other sites, some are my own i bought alot at Ia 2000, are they wanting every single model name addres and shit, this is totally bunk.

this is my last straw with ibill if there asking for all my records.

Let me know whats a good cc company atm acpays.com kept advertising they didnt need a US presents, but now i see they also need it, is this just going to filter through the other CC processsors over time or is this just another way for ibill to get rid of us.

EDIT: I got ahold of normal ibill rep, They said Every adult webmaster on ibill is getting this e-mail...
