New Spam Regulations? How do u see this effecting mailing overall?

If u read the law it holds companies accountable for allowing the mailing to go on and gives individuals the right to mail.

...any thoughts...?

It's bad for the really big spammers, that's for sure. Does it affect companies that have spamming affiliates? I should read up on this, got a link? I don't spam, but it's probably an interesting read.

For too long, sponsors were too happy to get revenues from spammers, even after the spammer's account was cancelled. Instead of redirecting to a page stating that the spammer's affiliate account had been terminated, they were just accepting the hits coming in, and were making money out of it, thus giving the impression to the "dumb" general public, that whoever had spammed still had his/her website up.
Now it's time to pay up !!!
