Very cool, just well, I kept expecting a porn angle. Notwithstanding, damn did you really produce this? Damn good if so. Impressed.

Video looks good to me, but l'm not a fan of the music (and I saw you say you're not involved in the music end of it).

Dugmor,
first the video started good with the black and white of the girl working in the streets, but then the video lost all the rythm, the guy in the dark room scene is way too long as well as in the office, also the bagpipes would require a little more energy in the images, if the contradiction was intentional, well, sorry but it doesn't work. also a good music video (imho) should tell a story that anyone should be avble to understand even with sound off. here i must admit that even with sound on i did not dig it.

was that a funeral house they are at at the end?
well to be perfectly honnest i liked the first video you made but this one is not good, just a succession of images with a guy looking like a molested dog singing. no story, scenes are too long and not related to the music.

sorry you asked for honnesty and i'm being honnest.

by the way if you are looking for a director count me in, and call me this summer when / if you come to paris while on your european trip :)

cheers

sabai

It's good work Dugmor. Are you looking to promote the act or just looking for feedback on the videography? I'm not used to seeing editing that is this devoid of schizophrenia which I like actually. Most videos in the last decade or so use such gatling gun editing that you can't process a scene before they move on to another visual.

Not trying to promote the act at all ........... in fact a few people ICQed me asking where they could buy the CD. In all honesty I have no clue.

We are always looking for new projects to distract us from porn. The first video was done as a goof to get out a video for a band we are friends with. The are beginning a European Tour and needed something for the European Music Television Stations.

The work we do is done with passion. We do not get paid to do these projects. We really enjoy working with other artists that feel the same way as we do. The amount of time spent and energy is not even counted as long as we feel confident that we have the best piece of work possible.

I am sure other artists will understand what I am talking about .

Very cool senor. That's the same attitude I take with my recording studio. I stopped doing that for money quite a long time ago and now when I hear an act I like I just bring them in to record a few tracks for the joy of doing it and helping somoene else see their own vision through.

I any case keep up the great work and post more. I for one would love to see it.

Dugmor,
I like this one, I think the JRN filming/editing skills have grown a little since the last video. This one looked much more professional.

The video itself - I don't get it. Is he dead? Did they used to be lovers? Is it a funeral home at the end? Why is he keeping in touch with her?
Little things can add to the understanding of a video - like if they were lovers, you could show a picture of the two of them together on her desk at work (pan past her to the picture; even if it's "been so long" that there's a pile of papers in front of it or if it's just one of many papers/pictures pinned to her cubicle wall).

I agree that the scenes are a bit too long. You don't *always* have to be showing the singer when there are lyrics going. We've seen him sing "I will always, always keep in touch with you" 20 times by the time we're two minutes into the video (or so it seems)... you could use those chorus repeats to add in additional footage that would make the storyline a bit clearer.

I think you make GREAT use of lighting and color/bw in this one.

And I also *love* the song, too bad you don't know where to get the CD. :(
