I Own Too Many Fucking DVDs
 

I passed the 700 disk mark after my trip to Costco Friday. The collection started with only must-have favorites. Stuff like Kurosawa, Hitchcock, Boorman, Kubrick...

Now I buy bullshit movies with Martin Lawrence, Jim Carey, and other meaningless actors. I tell myself that I am saving money since a disk costs me $18 instead of having to shell out $20 for tickets and $8 for popcorn and soda plus I get to see the same movie over again.

peoples personal collections going for $2 - 4 bucks each

a buddy of mine bought 10 different 100 - 200+ dvd lots, got some kind of distribution company for new stuff and vid games, and started up a video rental store.

wasnt as easy as it sounds but he saved a grip of money on them lots

heh good idea on the video rental store, nice cheap way of getting started. too bad there are already 2 of those places in this crappy little town, maybe i should look around in other small towns.

speaking of dvd's any new ones out there that anyone suggests?

We really liked the Recruit with Colin Farrell and Al Pacino.

I dunno, the recruit starts off pretty decent but by the end its predictable and just boring. It could have been something if it didnt go that cliche route as always. The training part was fun if a bit long but after that its downhill.

Rent them and then copy the good ones.
