Domain name help

Okay I registered a domain, and it was paid in full, np there.

When I go to the registrars domain and do a whois everything looks correct and it even lists the new dns for the site.

Now a week later, it still does not resolve and if i go to a different registrar this is what it says

No match for "XXXXXXXXXXXXX.COM" in the registrar database.

The previous information has been obtained either directly from the
registrant or a registrar of the domain name other than Network Solutions.
Network Solutions, therefore, does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness.

Yet if i go to godaddy.com it shows the correwct whois info.

Of course I substituted xxxxxxxxxxxxx.com for the real domain name it is for heh no trying to thief the name guys.

Any ideas?

you pointing it to the right dns servers? I lost you , alittle unclear

VideoVoyeur 06-21-2003 07:31 PM

Yes I am pointing it to the right dns servers and it already shows on godaddys whois page.

VideoVoyeur 06-21-2003 07:31 PM

But on EVERY other registrars page the whois info says

"No match for "XXXXXXXXXXXXX.COM" in the registrar database."

jsut worry about the registrar you signed with sometimes they take time to be fully updated on other registrars

Is the domain resolving? If so, what juicy said.

KRL 06-21-2003 07:46 PM

Having the same exact thing with a domain I did yesterday at GoDaddy that is showing current whois there but on Network Solutions it's showing pending delete still.

I just put the redirect on it so I'll let you know if I'm fucked too.

VideoVoyeur 06-21-2003 07:49 PM

Yea no it doesnt resolve on the dns, and it should be

VideoVoyeur 06-21-2003 07:50 PM

The dns was set, the domain registered, paid in full. everything looked normal, but a week later it doesnt resolve and it keeps saying that message.

VideoVoyeur 06-21-2003 07:53 PM

BUT it does show that the domain is unavailable

Couple things....
Are your zone files set up properly?
Maybe it is your ISP's nameservers not updating?
If none of the above, I would contact godaddy.

Also, trying going to http://www.tracert.com/ and see if it is resolving on other nameservers.

VideoVoyeur 06-21-2003 07:57 PM

I just tried it on internic.net and it shows the correct whois.

Did your Host add it to the Named server correctly?

VideoVoyeur 06-21-2003 08:06 PM

Yes it was added correctly, I did 4 more domain names the same day and all of them resolve perfectly.

Its almost like someone at godaddy.com saw a good domain and said "Fuck i wanted that" and is now fucking with it.

I know thats probably not the case, but, its very very wierd.
