Where The Hell Is Voodoo?
 

I emailed him about 20 times and he doesn't reply to my messages.I seen him post on GFY and he can't send me one lousy email.Voodoo,I thought we were friends. ICQ me or send me a email stating when I might get my site done.Somebody who talks to him ,please tell him to get a hold of me.I'm starting to get pissed off :mad:

I can understand if a designer is busy but to totally ignore me and not respond isn't cool.I'm starting to wonder if I got ripped off :(

I had a similar problem with him .... took like 2.5 months to get a template that i paid for.

I think he just forgot, or even more likely ... overbooked himself.

I think he shows up for a while, picks up some jobs, then realizes he is overbooked so he goes underground for a while until he is somewhat cought up.

Either way, i like his work and will use him again ... and he is a cool dude.

He's making some big doug now. don't worry. he's cumming back soon.

He's easy to find unless he owes you design work.

He has always been very reliable, even when he does owe us design work! :thumbsup

It's not cool that Voodoo won't communicate with people about designs that are months late. I like the guy, and his designs, but a little contact can go a long way.

yes,ignoring your client is the worst thing you can do. Others take it easy, others not. In general clients should be able to have contact with you regarding the progress of your work....unless you want to be their last time they spend their time and money on your business.

It's not reassuring to see someone post on here, and come online in ICQ, but never reply to ICQ or email. A week or two, sure... but months? He only owed me something for trade, so its not like he had my cash, but I expect a little courtesy. I hope there wasn't a death in the family or something. It just looks like he's hiding from people instead of saying, "sorry, I can't get it done".

Clients aside .. I had a good friendship with voodoo and havent heard aword from him in months ... ( and he owes me nothing)
Seems strange actually and now that I see this thread , I am more worried about him .

Ill drop him a phone call later and see if hes alive .

I had a rushed ICQ message from him a couple of weeks back about a job I had asked him to quote on quite a few weeks before.

I love his designs but alarm bells just went off and we went to another designer. Just been caught too many times in the past and we are just very cautious now. Looks like we did the right thing. :2 cents:

One of the people that worked for me send him $250 for a paysite design. We dident need the paysite design, so they settled on a Paymement form + 2 banners

Voodoo went through a hard period some time ago, so we just wrote it off as a loss - No hard feelings Voodoo :)

I thought so also.He would always reply to me before.If he was busy or something he would always tell me.Sure it took awhile.I don't want to give people the impression he is a crook,but to totally ignore me and think I'll just go away fucking sucks.200 bucks isnt a huge amount but still I'm not going to let it slide.

I hear your frustrations with Vooodoo and I was wondering if you have tried calling him, before dragging him through the dirt on GFY. Did you get your designers phone number?

We have been working on and off with Voodoo for 6 months on several items and I would recommend him to anyone, and have. As far as posting on GFY, I don't think he has in a very long time because he is knee deep in some very impressive projects, so he might not have time. HE always calls us back promptly, so I'm not sure if its the way you handle your outsource contacts is the problem or if its all Voodoo's fault, I can just talk about my own experiences.

I looked for his number and couldnt find it,also I never had a problem with him before.I seen his post on Saturday (he has more than 1 name) Look when you are told your site will be done 3 weeks ago and have hosting all set up, it fucks me up because I don't know if I should get somebody else to build me one or what. I didnt want to go to GFY but how the fuck else am I going to get his attention? If you are reading this Voodoo just send me my money back and I'll get someone else if you're too busy .

Problem resolved. Voodoo is a class act and I hope I didnt do any damage to his reputation. I tend to shit first before I fart :(

i don't think anyone is questioning the quality of voodoo's designs which, from what i've seen, are all :thumbsup :thumbsup
