Is there a way to force "Save Target As"
 

WMV format seems to be able to crash some browsers unless you do "save target as" ... pretty shitty. There should be a "save target as" javescript, right?

Pete, One of the antihotlinking type scripts, can force the WMV files into a download where the person has to save it

Just change your server settings a bit and the problem is gone.
