Talk about people being called by the fbi, I don't know about that, but this is the big one that could be used to go after alot of people.

The united states government is starting to freak that they cannot control the internet.

I think this is the bill they use to go after alot of people with criminal charges.

We saw sen hatch totally flipping out over people downloading music this week.

he is a senior member of the judiciary committee that oversees criminal laws in the us, and it seems to me he's loosin it..... and is going to try and pass a "patriot type act" so the us can go after alot of people.

The bill seems to address only email spam, but the more you read of it, you can see how it could be easily interpreted to cover alot of people who don't have a direct connection with the an email being sent.

One thing, they will criminalize incorrect whois information, which is amazing in itself, since senator hatch in the domain name act of 1999, the acpa act, spoke in favor of the right for people to use anonymous information when registering domain names, since domain names could be used for political dissent.

True. And thats why the us goverment is "freakin out". The internet will mean less power for the politicians and they are now beginning to understand this. They can no longer control the media and the media propaganda.

who made the united states goverment the internet king anyway...the internet is world wide.. why does the united states seem to think it's ALL theirs to do with it what they want... there is hundreds of other countries that should have some say so on what goes on with the internet.. it's not just THEIR fucking internet.. it's the worlds

you know what.. i think i know what it is.. .the goverment is sitting there like "oh shit".. becuase every foreign country is now getting the internet.. anyone with a 100$ computer and a 12.2k modem.. can start up a business and take money out of the usa.. they are afraid all of the money will become equal over the world and they won't have full power anymore.. all foreign countries are now starting to get adsl and starting to make alot of money.. they are taking money out of the united states.. alot of webmasters are from foreign countries.. some one in iraq can purchase an used computer at ebay for 100$ .. dial up and post some tgp's.. and start taking money out of the usa.. i think they are afraid that more and more of them are finding out that this is a way easier job then getting any job at their country.. they want to try to stop it before other countries get big and have a big business up and can't be stopped.. they want to keep the money in the usa where they think it should be.. for some reason i don't think visa or mastercard are the bad people here.. i think it's the goverment finding out just how much money is on the internet.. and not wanting to have anybody in the world able to take part in it
