What's the real % of non-MSIE browsers?
 

Most non-MSIE browsers identify themselves as MSIE through the CGI environment... so everyone that thinks MSIE has such a large % of the market -- it's not entirely accurate...

For example in Opera the default setting is "Identify as MSIE 5.0" -- otherwise you can't hit banking sites etc. or they will say "sorry your browser is not supported..." I can understand why banks do this -- they can't afford to provide support for multiple browsers...

i think msie market part is around 80-90% in the browser industry

same as % of people who wait the check from Lens

When I was doing my research for HSN.com, We found that less than 12% used versions prior IE4.0

Netscape was less than 2%
Mac was less than 1%

We designed the site to run for IE4 and up.
Keep in mind our market was 35-55 year old housewives with $7500 - $25000 disposable income.

When was this?

Maybe if I was selling vibrators :1orglaugh

For us, MSIE is 90.2%. Netscape, around 5%. Opera, and the other browsers, around 1% each at most.
