WOULD YOU Take a Handshake On a Deal ?al
It seems to me, that quite a few deals that have been made on a word of good faith, have gone Bad. As Experienced by recent chatboard postings ! In this light would you make a deal on some ones word???

I guess I've been fortunate....
The only time I ever signed a contract....that's when I got screwed.. All the deals I've made on a handshake have turned out fine. Go figure! Hi, JFK...:) |
Absolutely not.

I personally like something in written just to make sure it gets done.

It depends on the person on the other side of the shake, a few off the top of my head i would trust would me pr0, mule, aaron, and the BP4L crew. Other than that i want a blood and urine sample attached to the contract that has to be written in their blood.

My best deals have all been on handshakes. And my worst have all been mile long contracts. A rather strange paradox isn't it?
My longest and most profitable partnership ever was done on a handshake and nothing more. We just agreed to split the profits 50-50. Personally I think contracts are worthless in most cases. They mean zip if the person that signs it is out to fuck you over anyway. |
I'd say if you have to shake, you don't know the person well enough... I don't think I've ever shook Boneprone's hand... Bad idea to mix formality and friendship... The only guys that want to shake my hand are the ones on the street that want 2 seconds to ask me for some loose change or to sell me on the love of Jesus.
