Sexkey new rules. Lots of work this weekend, arrg
 

Just got this email from Sexkey. Looks like alot of people gonna have to do some editing...again


Attention Valued SexKey Webmaster:

In an effort to improve the functionality of SexKey for all of our
customers and affiliates, Sexkey will be instituting a few new rule changes
effective Monday, June 23rd, 2003. We are asking that the changes be made
immediately to avoid any disruption in our partnership. Our staff will be
going through each site Monday morning at 9:00 am. If your site has not
been changed to follow these new rules by this time, your listing on the
Sexkey member's area (link list) will be temporarily removed until the
changes are made. We appreciate your cooperation and thank you again for
your continuous support of our program.

The following changes:

1) All references to "AVS" must be removed.

2) All references to "protecting your site" and "minors" must be removed

3) All references to "access to participating sites" must be removed.

4) If you are using the text signup script to promote SexKey, you MUST go
to this link and get the new code. There is wording in the current code
that will not be acceptable come Monday. The new code is available at
http://www.sexkey.com/newcode (If you are using the graphic SexKey signup
scripts there is no need to change it. Since it is hosted by us, it will be
automatically changed when we update the images on our side)

For approved wording to meet rule change requirements stated above, you can
visit http://www.sexkey.com for some ideas. For example we have replaced
"AVS" with "Your source for the best adult content", we've replaced
"protecting your site from minors" with "Helping Adults surf the Web since
1997", "participating sites" was replaced with "members area" and "The
largest collection of free adult content on the web"

yes I do run AVS sites, I have about 100 or so with SexKey. Sucks right? LOL little boy! Do you even know wtf an AVS site is?

I got similar messages from more than one AVS program. They can all get in line to kiss my ass because I am not going through thousands and thousands of pages reworking all my text to get rid of those words and phrases which are the whole point behind AVS systems. Let their paid monkeys find and deactivate my sites.

I thought about it, and I agree. I was actually gonna go modify the sites, but fuck it. Not worth the effort. As lond as my sponsor link code is on the main page and SE traffic still comes in, im happy.

I don't see how they can possibly expect people to actually comply with this. I'd have to be making $25,000/week off of my AVS sites to make it worth the amount of work required to fix them all.
