Question about doing design work and customer supplied images...

I'm doing some light design stuff (banners and templates, etc.) how does one go about covering your ass when it comes to images that the customer supplies for the work. Pictures and and what not.

Is it a good idea to have them sign some sort of documant that states they hold the license to use the images they supply? In other words to keep my ass covered in case a customer gives me stolen images to use. Does this make sense? Is this necissary?

Thanks

If you aren't making money off the actual site - you are just selling the design to them to do that - the onus should be on them. I have never had a problem with this - and even if there was one i am certain the content provider would be far more concerned with who runs the site rather than who designed it.

Ok cool. I just wanted to make sure because I've seen on some boards I think a few cases where the customer supplied images they didn't own or something. As I am starting to pick up requests for work I just wanted to keep my arse covered in case someone pulled that crap. :D

Thanks for your input.
