Not my job to care.... [BONUS COMMENT] line of demarcation. My job is to get them to join. What they wipe up with after they shoot their load is none of my business. [/BONUS COMMENT] Quote:
For that matter, why would any number of other people: The gardener The garbage man The maid The mailman The exterminator Your mother The surfer's mother My mother The guy that feeds the penguins at the local zoo The Taco Bell Drive Thru guy (etcetera... etcetera....) |

As a webmaster who is paid per signup, caring whether the surfer found what they wanted is not within the equation to maximizing profits. They did join the site, so I just hope the sponsors I push aren't lying in what's contained in the site. Of course I would be saying something completely different if I owned the sites I'm promoting.

Like Wg said, if I owned the sites I'm promoting I would realy care. Some memberarea are just pure garbage and some tours promise you heaven while you actually get some 80s content or something. If you are a serious webmaster with your own sites you definetely shoudl care about your members. After all it all depends on the recurring members.
Within 2 months from now I am launching 16 totally new niche sites, and I am sure the members will love the area I offer them :glugglug |
i care if my members are happy..
|
i dont
|
I care... I take my sites seriously. If you're good to your surfer, they'll rebill and cotinue to come back even if they cancel. You can sell them ANY product over and over... vhs, dvd's, other sites etc.
|
If the surfer looks at my tours and bothers to read the text that is on them and joins because of that, they will get what they came for/want. But if they skim through the tour and see one chick they think is smokin, and join because they think I'm gonna have an endless supply of galleries of her, and 4 thousand+ hours of video of her fingering herself, and she'll be performing live 24 hours a day, they're gonna bedisapointed, but i'n that case, I figure it's their fault! For the most part, I try to advertise exactly what I can give to the webmaster; good for retention!

I like the members to be happy, and I dont lie on my advertisement of the members area..
but some guys will be unhappy no matter what you do. I have found some of these guys to be emotional suckubuses.. always wanting something extra that the other members dont have..or whining cause you arent live 24/7 to cater to their 3 minute need and 4 hour need to chat your fucking fingers off on some message program. I have a hubby and kids..they are extremely time consuming at it is...but to have to cater to the emotional needs of the customers just plain drives one crazy... I'm ready to go into the affiliates only/submitting galleries biz where i don't have to cater to the emotionally needy :( |
I think you should care, becuase its the content what keeps a member longer and if you are using a partnership program, thats 50% of what you should should care about, the other 50% being sign ups :)

I'm pretty sure they are looking to get laid.
do we offer that yet? |

I care.
really, I do. |

I fully disclose what they are getting in advance, so there are no members' surprises. One in a great while I get some idiot who doesn't like the content (never mind its the same as the 17 free movie samples) and I give them back their money, no problem. So yeah, I would say I actually care. Beyond just the fact that its good for business, I would say that in any business I want my customers to think I am god. |
