you figure the 2ghz model if those specs are right will be the usual high end price of $3400, but will come with maybe a gig of ram, to max out the other 7 they will charge at least $200 a gig, or you can get it yourself for about 120 a gig for the DDR ram..

Would make a fucking wicked machine though, dual 2 ghz G5 with 8gigs of Ram:thumbsup

I have a Mac and a PC on my desk and rarely touch the PC. The Mac OS and hardware is much smoother and enjoyable to use than the Windows machine.

Any program I work on that is dual platform suchs as Office, Photoshop etc... is always better on the Mac. Most of our staff feels the same way adn has requested Macs over PCs in our call center as well.

i'll agree. myself, and others (like oliver) use macs for video.

however, both systems can work well for video editing and compression.

i agree, for editing movies and graphics, macs are best.. other than that.. any idiot can use a mac, there simple to use(not that thas a bad thing) but i kind of like the challenge presented with pc's, i also build my own systems soo, its all about your personal pref

Those prices are pretty high. I know you can build your own PC for much less, is the same possible in a Mac? Or is Apple the only option?
