Ok im not talking about those generic BS tours that are fronts to bullshit plugins, im talking real sites with real content.

The question is I got tons of exclusive content I would like the surfer to see before joining. Maybe a few trailers and a few small pics.

What is the best way to lay it out like how many sets per page on tour how long or pretty much the longer the better

This means little coming from me, I'm sure, but I think just a couple of pages of tour is good, with maybe two or three movie clips and maybefifteen GOOD pics. You know, sell it but don't give too much for free type thing.

Tease them ... less = more.

Don't let people get off on your tour!

If you are going to have trailers, make them downloadable, nothing worse then waiting 5 minutes for an embedded one to load, gives people a shitty feeling about the members area.

3-4 story boxes with pics or maybe vids is enough to tease, yet not showing much. I think the better a site looks the better the signups, exception made of amateurs, but I'm not sure even with this niche. If you're asking because of your site tour, it has a lot of content and it looks a little poor. I mean, for a surfer perspective, when I see a poor tour I think "why the content would be better?". Not telling it's your case, just telling what I think when I see poor tours. Maybe try to polish that tour design and take off some content :)
