My old lady's uncle is selling it, he is pretty loaded so he doesnt really use the bike. You can see the front end of his '69 Cobra in the first pic, that car is fucking fast!!!!!!!!! He took me for a ride on Easter.

Anyways, what do you people think?? I have always wanted a cruisin' bike :thumbsup

Oh yeah 700!! :Graucho

sltr 06-18-2003 09:28 AM

GFED 06-18-2003 09:30 AM

Why 06-18-2003 09:31 AM

Sassyass 06-18-2003 09:33 AM

I like it.
Beats paying 20K+ for the Harley equivalent

Argoz 06-18-2003 09:34 AM

How much? :)

SextrafficPete 06-18-2003 09:35 AM

i'm actually in the market for a bike this summer as well

ducatti 996 i've been looking at, but not a beginners bike

might go with an f4

but then again, 996 is like the ferrari of sport bikes, so you have to have the best, and plus its the price of an economy car so hehe :)

Buzz_Aziani 06-18-2003 10:15 AM

bryany 06-18-2003 10:17 AM

PR_Phil 06-18-2003 10:18 AM

That's a sweet bike!

I'd buy it if I had $6k lyin around

Dwreck 06-18-2003 10:20 AM

I dont know shit about bikes. MY dad crashed at a young age and I was never allowed to look at em or consider em.

Poppy 06-18-2003 10:23 AM

Nice bike, but how much maintenance is involved?

I myself, would buy something a bit more modern.

Matt M 06-18-2003 10:25 AM

Nevermind the bike. Take the Shelby.... :thumbsup

bryany 06-18-2003 10:27 AM

He told me that he was offered like $60k for his

voodooman 06-18-2003 10:27 AM

A friend of mine had one, they are very comfortable to ride, but slow as hell.

bryany 06-18-2003 10:46 AM

even for an 1100? Yeah it wont beat Rochards 1100 crotch rocket, but thats not what they are meant for. I like it because its sharp looking, handles well, and comfortable. I could actually drive it long distances and not be worried about being hunched over like I would be on a crotch rocket

You are not supposed to go fast with them anyway. It's a custom cruiser... not a racer. If you want a fast cruiser, buy the Harley V-Rod.

Anyway, racers are boring in the long run. Yes they are fast, easy as hell to handle and drive, but god damn I hate the full face helmets. You feel like a small fish in an aquarium.

I just bought this modified Harley Softail Springer 1340 to travel... I will not do any tuning on it.

bryany 06-18-2003 11:03 AM

what did you pay for it?

Thats hella nice

nice looking ride, but I heard the front forks leak a lot of oil. Any truth to that rumor :winkwink:

bryany 06-18-2003 11:39 AM

A 600cc liquid-cooled sportbike will beat a 1000cc air-cooled cruiser.

But that 1100 will be faster than most cars anyway.

my gf's 18 year old brother almost killed himself on a bike like that yesterday.. his dad was teaching him how to start it up in his driveway and it started up and he slammed into the house across the street. he wasn't wearing a helmet because he wasnt planning on moving and got pretty hurt :(

voodooman 06-18-2003 11:44 AM

I still wanna race Rochard!

Bring your bike to LA this weekend Rochard.

My current bike is a 600, but Ill put money
he cant keep up in traffic.

Wait, nevermind, I would feel guilty if he
crashed and burned. Ill stick to shadow
racing.

:winkwink:

tell him to make sure it is in neutral before hitting the start button, and learn where the clutch lever is. A helmet will not prevent ignorance

So far so good... the bike has under 25,000 miles on it, showroom condition. The guy before never had a problem with it.

voodooman 06-18-2003 12:04 PM

that might be okay for greasing wheel bearings, but as a lube . . . I think not :1orglaugh

sltr 06-18-2003 12:20 PM

sheez man, i put motor oil in the forks of my shovel. why carry around all different types when you go through it so fast?

:thumbsup

voodooman 06-18-2003 12:28 PM

Really???

-begin sarcasm-
Thanks for informing me of that baddog.
-end sarcasm-

90 weight gear oil is what we used in our street stock
race car. Clearly not for anything other, and certianly not
heavy enough to pack bearings with. BTW have you ever
smelled 90 weight gear oil? It smells like sewage.

btw when I get moved to LB, are you going to go ride with
me?
