727 stolen from airport
The Boeing 727 had not budged from its parking place at the airport in Angola's capital city for 14 months, so when the jetliner started taxiing down the runway, the men in the control tower radioed the pilot for an explanation. There was no reply from the cockpit, even after the plane rumbled to a takeoff into the African skies.

Wow. That's pretty creepy.
I took it, got jealous of rowan's flight simulator :(
I stole it, I'm sorry. I will take it back and take JoeE's jet next time.
'The plane has been missing since it took off from the Luanda airport around dinnertime on May 25, setting off a continent-wide search for its whereabouts that includes the CIA, the State Department and a number of African nations.'
Its been missing since May 25? damn that is disturbing. |
Nice.
Wonder what they plan on doing it with it. where will they buy fuel? :) |
OMG:(
I heard that story over a week ago and there's no real panic about it because they say there's a STRONG possibility it was repossesed.
haha.

Hard to believe they arent 'sure' if its been repossessed or not. hahaha no VIN numbers on a jet? hard to miss. These stories are silly. That plane will be the next strike in a long war. The War Of The Misinformation Age |
Or the simple answer... a warlord just got himself a nice limo.
Just hope its not being packed with explosives in some 3rd world Islamic hell hole.

Even if it were flight paths are set in stone, except if you are Russian pilot, then they give you a little leeway in the air corridor because they assume that you are drunk off your ass when you're behind the stick. But if that plane makes it back in the sky headed towards any kind of civilization and its out of the flight path or hasnt been properly picked up by radar stations all over the place they'll hit it before it gets anywhere near, at least now they will since all that crap went down. But anyway, flight paths are set in stone, wouldnt want jets colliding with each other all the time and shit.
