Who steals software? Interesting results.
Surfing the web, I found statistic of Astalavista. Astalavista, with about milion cracks to search in, is one of the biggest hacker's guides. Try to search for crack on the software you wrote there. You'll be surprised, how easy it is use it without spending a cent.
Too check these stats, click here Most visitors comes from US. I thought, that Russians will be the #1, but there are almost no former USSR countries at the top. Well-developed country probably doesen't mean less stealing. Also interesting fact is, that almost everytime I reloaded the main stats with last 10 visitors, there was at least 1 University between them. I thought, that state-owned institutions won't steal software. This page should be also interesting for SW police to find companies stealing SW. I don't know, why astalavista uses public counter. |
so which ones did you download? :Graucho
