Beckham going to Real Madrid ???

... damn, if they are going to get that deal, even if it costs them some 45mio euro, they´ll get their investment back in less than 1 years time ...

... what do you think, will he play in one team with zidane, carlos, ronaldo, figo, raul ... next season ??

Paul 06-16-2003 06:56 AM

This article could make it interesting

Thrawn$ 06-16-2003 06:59 AM

He is going to Barcelone!
he will play against zidane and ronaldo.

funkmaster 06-16-2003 07:11 AM

... interesting article, thanks !

Calvinguy 06-16-2003 07:18 AM

I heard something that he would rather play for free than leave United

Tuga 06-16-2003 07:21 AM

I wish there were more players like him...

adamneve 06-16-2003 07:22 AM

I think if Beckham moves to Real, Figo will go to Man United

and he will never Retire

BlueDesignStudios 06-16-2003 07:28 AM

It's a tough decision when you're the best player in England / most famous soccer player in the world - where do you go from there? I guess one of the Spanish clubs or Italian clubs will get him .. though I really prefer him at Man U, I think if Man U keeps him they'll get somewhere in the Champions League eventually!

Scott McD 06-16-2003 07:31 AM

To be honest it is all about his image.
He is a good player but still way over-rated. He got showed up when he came up against Zidane and co a few months back.
Wouldn't be an asset to the Real team on the field, but he probably would still bring in alot of money to the club... :2 cents:

Sarah_Jayne 06-16-2003 09:15 AM

whoever he goes to he will have my undying gratitude for taking his wife out of the country.

chodadog 06-17-2003 11:19 PM

HE'S GONE!
Yup, it's confirmed. He's going to Real Madrid.

Interestingly enough, it seems as though he doesn't mind the move, as was reported in other articles.

huey 06-17-2003 11:50 PM

Heard tonight Barcelona

adamneve 06-18-2003 12:07 AM

it's final 4 year deal

Icy 06-18-2003 01:30 AM

Barcelona new president anounced on the pre elections that he had a contract with M.U. for him, good strategy, he just won the elections in part thx to that but he looks as a fool (or lier) now that Beckham has signed for 4 years with R.Madrid, it's confirmed yet. R.Madrid owned Barcelona once more :)

Porn Mickey 06-18-2003 02:29 AM

Beckham sucks! His wife too! :BangBang:

polish_aristocrat 06-18-2003 02:32 AM

I've heard that if Beckham comes, Figo goes to Inter.

<IMX> 06-18-2003 02:47 AM

Who is this Beck Ham guy?
People actually play soccer?

Chris E 06-18-2003 02:50 AM

Soccer... basically what your pussy football is originated from... you guys are just not skillful or bright enough to play it to any decent level.

Tuga 06-18-2003 02:52 AM

Soccer is the most important sport in the WORLD. Get over it.

Figo must come back to Portugal and play in Sporting where he belongs :winkwink:

Sarah_Jayne 06-18-2003 02:54 AM

fact - there is not a single American sports star that would be talked about by as many people. It is easy to think otherwise when you are living in the states but it is the truth.

Chris E 06-18-2003 02:54 AM

I heard that Beckham will play in the middle so Figo is safe for now!

Fuck Real Madrid. The can have Beckham. Figo is going to have to suck it up. That's a lot egos to manage in one locker room.

hmm. quite contrary to my travels. trust me.

Sarah_Jayne 06-18-2003 03:34 AM

there is a difference between wanting to know what this big deal is with someone who is getting a lot of attention in the States and is in comercials and actually knowing what he does and following the sport.

I am assuming you are talking about Jordan. In the UK, for example, they know who he is and why he is famous but still very few people follow basketball or could tell you anything in regards to his stats or his playing history.

But you can't say that the average 40 year old guy in the pub is likely to have heard of him at all.

Sarah_Jayne 06-18-2003 03:47 AM

exactly....and how many 40 y/os around the world do you think know about Beckham...a heck of a lot more, I would suggest
