Anyone else scuba dive?

Just curious if anyone else here is into it. ...

About to finish up my advanced open water, hoping to get my nitrox ok next week.

Still haven't bought any gear yet... if anyone has the hookup for new or old gear, :P or any opinions.

Nice... =) I'm gonna hit Belize later this year I think... waiting on my f-ing 6 months for vaca time.

Luckily, we've got some decent dives a few hours away... Oil Rugs in the Gulf of Mexico and such. =)

Good spearfishin, cept for the occasional 1 ton jewfish, hehe

Molokini here about 4 miles off the shore is the number 1 rated wall dive.... pretty spectacular. Lots of good spots around Maui... Also, the Big Island has some killer diving.... :)

Thats what I hear... Molokini has come highly recommended. =)

It's on my list, unfortunately (or fortunately, however you look at it)... My list is pretty long.

Muff-diving is the deepest I've gone

Certified here too...advanced open water...Nitrox, Deep, Navigation & Nighttime

I have all the gear you need and no time to dive these days. Everything *could* be for sale...it's all top-notch equipment...no wet suit though...unless you're 6'6", 210 lbs...then I not only have a 3/2 but also a 1mm skin suit that's great for warmer climes :winkwink:

PattyeCake* 06-15-2003 04:56 PM

yup, PADI certified in '95 :winkwink:

Yup, Diving is great. We will be heading diving after the Internex in FLA. Only have freash water quarrys around us but can still be a lot of fun.

A Diving Webmaster get together would be fun....

Tusa makes great gear.

Im kindof picky though, but I wouldnt
buy used gear, just my opinion.

HardProfits 06-15-2003 10:28 PM

Been cretified for 2 years, and dived on the "GReat Barrier Reef" three times so far

Just fuckin fantastic

And I recommend you buy all your gear new - never fuck around with other peoples problems

My next dive will hopeully be at "Truk Lagoon" in Micronesia - http://www.thorfinn.net/diving.html

There is about 70 sunken Japanese battle ships and all sorts of other great stuff

that's really cool, how much was the school?

I used to free dive. Its fun after you get good at it, but getting to the point where you can hold your breath for several minutes while using those big flippers isn't easy.
