PERL Programmer needed ASAP
 

Hey guys, I have a script here I bought, a very very barebones script. I have an email operation opening very soon and have been buying lists of email addresses for a pretty long time now, and am partners with some "silent partners" who will only be revelaed after a non disclosure agreement contract is in place.





To put it simply, we have around 4 million +/- 5,000 email addresses we will be sending out on a daily basis. These were all bought as double optin and so less then 2% have bounced as unknown host.


What I need isnt hard to do, it should take a coder less then 30 minutes to get it done IF they know what they are doing.

In return we would be willing to drop the top banner space in the email to your site or your program for a month.

There are about 500 of us on GFY who work with PERL. The reasons you are not getting any responses are

1) No details. You have to give some kind of idea of what you have in mind.
2) The first thing I think of when I read this is "Anything involving 5,000,000 records is not a job for PERL." See #1 if you are about to say "But it doesn't have anything to do with the 5,000,000 email addresses."
3) 5,000,000 "opt-in" emails sounds a touch shady. Back to #1, again.


People are always saying "contact me for details" but a lot of people just don't have the time to chase wisps.

I write PERL.

When you say 30 minutes it tells me that you don't really want to pay much. Nothing takes 30 mins. You can spend an hour just trying to find the semicolon you dropped in a perl program.

I could do it if you give me root access to your spam box ...

Perl sucks ass, try PHP.
