Supposedly, they both caught "a couple" each. I know little Georgie caught at least one, because I saw a pic of him leaning over the boat and releasing it.

Whoop de freakin' doo. :2 cents:

:)

I could be wrong, but I don't think Jeb was there.

Either way, my favorite quote of the week-

"Hard at work during the Mideast crisis, health care crisis and jobs crisis" - headline on a news release from the office of Democratic Rep. David Obey of Wisconsin.

:thumbsup

I believe it was Richard Bush (no relation to the family) he's the scuba diver they hired to place fish on the hooks underwater.

Invariably, the "look at the president taking a day off during the present crisis" appears during every presidency which means:

1. People always perceive that we are in a crisis
2. People have short memories

On that note, ex-president Clinton just received a whopper of a sum for a public speaking engagement which is another theme that is on the repeat cycle.

World leaders deserve good salaries, whatever the market will bear for speaking engagements and days off.

They should have had him to give GW some lessons on how to ride that scooter thing, while he was at it.

Or most likely:
3. Republicans and Democrats hate one another and each will miss no opportunity to take a piss on the other. :winkwink:

JMO, but I think Clinton deserves the $9 mill. He's a good speaker, he's charismatic, and he has a lot to say. Another ex-pres who's always been made fun of to some degree is Jimmy Carter, who is by far one of the smartest men I've ever heard speak. I think he's brilliant.

Now GW, on the other hand, is a different story. :) Something tells me a lucrative career in public speaking won't be something he excels at when he leaves office. :arcadefre I can't imagine why though...

(I'm going to hide now before I get the big, "GFY!") :Graucho

Making fun of the president and ex-presidents is a tradition. Think of the late night hosts that always have jokes about the president or the popularity of presidential hunor sites.

I suspect that there is something really dark and hideous in us that is at the root of such things.
