Serial-ATA HDs and WinXP

I seem to remember reading that WinXP doesn't take advantage of the benefits of serial-ATA HDs and we will have to wait until the next version of windows to get the full benefits of serial-ATA

Is this true?

they're prolly gonna release a 3rd party winXP tweaker or patch or it may be supported in service pack 2... you can expect something like that.

Cool, because I just bought a new system with a serial-ATA HD.

yeah, still, this thing as I've seen it, didn't read nothing on it .. Serial ATA/150 ... thats like ~20mb more than ATA/133 .... which is not worth it if you want my opinion... :)

Yeah, the speed boost isn't huge, but at least they've finally done away with the stupid parallel ribbon cables.
