You no longer need to own a new SMG M3 to get the paddle shifters. If you have steptronic, you can get a retrofit.

Useful? Its more for fun. You dont know what paddle shifters are?

Its whats inside the Formula One cars. You dont have to take your hands off the wheel to shift.

yeah but I like driving my manual shifter :) not sure if I'd like to drive with these paddles...have you ever tried it?

even if I owned a ferrari, I think I'd prefer the feeling of driving a manual shifter :)

I meant that you couldnt bring the steering column all the way doen into guido mode.

I think is was the 525 series a few years back

BMW = overrated.

well SMG and Steptronic are 2 different things,
Having paddle shifting steptronic won't make your gearbox SMG.


P.S. Amputate Your Head, I think Mercedes is way overrated, not BMW.
For the price of CLK320 you can get BMW M3 which is just way better car. CLK and E classes are way overpriced.

I drive an SMG M3. The F1 gear changes are awesome - don't knock it till you try it!

If yes, i agree Z06 priced well, but that car got nothing luxury in it.

Actually I owned a bmw 325i, of course its the low end crap, and for its cost, I would rather have had a Nissan Maxima. But besides the point, I prefer a mercedes or a lexus over BMW any day. It doesnt help that almost everyone who wants to show off has a BMW, it loses its flair.

beats me.... all that shit is overrated in my opinion.... I'm not into cars anymore. My road days are over. The only car I need is a surfboard.... but as far as vehicles go.... anything classified as a 'luxury' sports car is inherently overrated and completely unneccessary. I'm getting a new Dodge Durango in the next few weeks, complete with surf rack.... and in my opinion, that's the bomb right there. You can keep your Mercedes and BMWs.... :)

Lexus is crap. Stolen designs from Mercedes, but uglier, and overall crappy cars. I don't get it why would you get a Maxima over 325i.
I got M3 and I wouldn't get any japanese car over it, I'm so glad with it.
