Area 51 -- what are they hiding?

Aliens?
Nuclear testing?
New high-tech weapons?
Chemical weapons?
The secret world government?
Just normal air force training, like they do at other air force bases?

mastamindz 06-14-2003 01:53 AM

All of Kazaa's files are held in Area 51

Ketadream 06-14-2003 01:53 AM

supposidly there is no more area 51...

I think geraldo needs to go investigate and then never come back

Dveron 06-14-2003 01:56 AM

What happened to it? I just saw one of their planes landing in Vegas not long ago, the cab driver made a point of pointing it out so to speak.

Military planes land at McCarren all the time. This afternoon a flight of 2 F18's flew in and there were 4 UH60 Blackhawks sitting on the tarmac. How would a cab driver know if a plane come from Area 51 or not.

He wouldn't...but he could convince a dumb blonde that it was from Area 51.

Maybe he's not really a cab driver. Maybe he's one of them and he's gathering information on people that ask too many questions.

Bobby Fissure 06-14-2003 02:22 AM

The Nellis Air Force base is still there. Government land, no civilians allowed. On a map, it looks like 10% of the state of Nevada. Perhaps they closed (or renamed) an area, a "settlement" inside of the Nellis base, but it's obvious that it hasn't been completely abandoned.

What are they doing in there, and why isn't anyone allowed to talk about it?

Because they are white planes with a red stripe and no numbers on them at all.

Area 51 was acknowledged to exist by the Clinton administration, I believe. And is supposed to be no longer in use but I saw on the history channel or some channel like it, that some guy took pictures of people and planes still moving around in there.

Workers at the top secret Groom Lake (Area 51) and Tonopah Test Range (TTR) air bases commute to work aboard 737 jets from a not-so-remote terminal at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas. It is only two blocks from the Las Vegas Strip! On aviation frequencies, the jets are known by the company name "Janet," a name whose meaning is unknown [See glossary]. Each jet is a 737-200 (or CT-43, the military equivalent) with a single red stripe along the side and no company name or insignia. Smaller Beechcraft Kingair prop-driven planes make special trips to Edwards AFB and other destinations.

When I am wrong I do not have a problem with admitting it...but in my defense I mistakenly assumed that it was military aircraft that was the subject...not an Airline.

In your defense? You have no defense for calling me a dumb blonde, since obviously *I* knew what I was talking about and your assumptions only managed to make an ass out of you.

That's not an airline per se either, the actual aircraft are registered to various entities such as the Air Force and some privately contracted 'civilian' companies.

Actually from what I understand it's not too difficult to tell.

They have unmarked planes and buses going there all the time.

InsaneMidget 06-14-2003 05:02 AM

They are hiding the biggest man-made testicles in history.

It's hard to say with all the media circling around the issue as well as conspiracists attacking the subject-- But from what I read, I would assume that it would vaguely be top-secret research (government weapons, missles, prototype planes, etc).

I doubt, however, that they have so-called "aliens" at Area 51.

Bobby Fissure 06-14-2003 02:01 PM

Shouldn't American citizens be allowed to know what goes on there under the Freedom of Information act? It's a naive thought, but still...

There are things the government does that we really dont need to know about. They had stealth planes 10 years before they publicly announced it. I'm sure they have other hi-tech stuff that just isnt a civilian's business, or other country's business to know about either.

Interesting stuff.

Not that it matters.....but I had sources tell me 'they' are here. Where do you think all this technology came from over the past 50 years?

When I was in Vegas in December I took a chopter ride at night. The piolot informed us that a lot of the personal who work in area 51 and lived in vegas and flew on a 747 every day to work.

The airplines were white with no labels, stripes or anything types of color. He said they fly in and out every day like clockwork. Kind of interesting I thought.:thumbsup
