I coded perl before ;p never again though I use php, and c++ for traffic.

Perl has no use anymore, its not the fastest and it takes a long time to code.

You only complain about perl b/c you cant use it. If you cant figure out perl , your certainly not able to learn c++.

php has no proper OOP and mod_perl is still faster than anything php can offer. Not to mention its the best access to Apache API aside from actually coding Apache Modules in C.

Thats biggest thing I HATE about php no reall oop, however version 5 which is due out soon will fix all of that ;p

LOL I didnt expect peopel to be up in arms over languages, all of them have their pluses and minuses ;p thats the end of story, and the same program can be made a countless number of ways even within the same programing language
