How to fuck up spammers - the practical advice

Here we go...
Here is a script which you should copy/paste to any text editor and save as *.html file.
When you open it, it will generate 5000 (easy to change number!) non-existing e-mails.
Copy/paste this e-mails to any text editor and save as *.html again.
Then, make an invisible (one little dot of the background color) link to this last html on your site at the place where it is almost impossible to click.
Spammers are using software to spider your sites and they will probably receive those 5000 emails. After that they will try to send spam to it and... here is the point... NOTHING WORKS out!!! The time and traffic are spent but oh my... NO RESULT!

Spammers are fucked :) lol

Here is the script:

Umm not really. For one sites have been using "dead list" traps for years so it's no ground breaking idea. Also 5k dead emails in a list is a drop in the bucket and won't slow any mass mailer down a bit. They just get scrubed out from the good ones on the first run.

I wish you'd tell that to the guys who spam me.

I meant the bounces get scrubbed.

The point is to be creative.
Set as a @domain.com say the spammer's ISP.
Or put 500 000 dead e-mails instead of just 5 000.
Use it on ALL of your pages with different lists, not only index.html.
Change it say once a month etc.

Also, if EVERYONE will be using this, spammers will get really hard life.

Lets try it out! Be creative!

Do bounces really get scrubbed? I've been using mailwasher to "fake bounce" spam I receive and I've noticed no decrease, I still get spam from the same spammers (i.e. familiar subject lines, same products) so I've stopped bouncing 'em. Maybe they can tell when a bounce is false...

any sofisticated email harvester (like mine) will extract a maximum of 50 emails / site to avoid those kind of brainless traps.. so that wont work. 8)

what you could do to annoy spammers is to stop using your email account.

Wecome to 4 years ago. This technique used to work but not anymore. A page that's just hundreds of email addresses is obviously a spam-spider trap. Its very unlikely the addresses would be picked up.

So you're one of the fuck-faces that spams all my domains? Tell me your address and I'll come shit in your letterbox every day.

We were offline for a week and emails were being bounced. When we got back online they picked up where they left off. Live with it.

The problem is a very simple one with business. You can sit back and wait for it to come to you. Or you can go out there and get it.

The problem with sitting back is, as you will find out, they do not come. I am on the best boards all the time talking about business, pushing my product and discussing issues. Plus giving some incentives to buyers. And maybe passing on some of my experience in business and porn. Business is good.

Recently we had a "Marketing Whizz Kid" come here with the wares of two companies, one who readily admitted things were slow, the other could be the same. Did they spam the boards, did they hang our here or anywhere, did they ever get involved in agressively marketing their product. NO.

Now they are in the hands of a third party salesman who is not only discounting their product as much as he can, he's taking his slice of the cake. These were good companies with good products, this industry needs.

Another case is Amacontent, he makes a great product and did a deal with another guy who basically ripped the value of ths content to shreds. Most of his posts on this board have been about him trying to save a bad situation. he is now marketing here.

Why are these guys having to do this? Who knows.

But I don't have to and I spend a lot of time spamming. It's a fact of life. Don't do it and you risk going out of business, while the guy who does, stays in business.

It's the same with those who will not sign up for my content stores because I send out weekly emails telling them what is new.

Am I meant to upset the 100s of buyers I do have to please these one or two? They seem to think so, I will bet some of them don't want to sign up because they're kids with no sites and we would find that out.

Charly, the difference is that your emails are targeted. I'm on your list as well, and I don't mind a bit, as I'm interested in buying content, as is everyone else on the list. What pisses me off is the idiots who spam me with US mortgage stuff, while I live in holland. What's the point of spamming a .nl address with a US mortgage deal? Or the morons who are forever trying to get me to lose body weight, enhance my breasts or enlarge my penis. Heh, you've met me, you know I don't need any of that. Well, I didn't show you my dick, so you'll have to take my word for it :)
