small digital cameras that can take panoramas?
 

just for personal use. i'm looking at getting a new camera, but none of the small digitals seem to have built in 'panorama' (i think that's the correct term) capability. anyone know?

I was playing with my (now) ex's Canon digital camera a while back, and it had a panorama feature built in. This was the PowerShot A70.

But I use my Canon PS230 a lot panorama-like.

Just snap 2 quick pics and then stitch em together with "The Panorama Factory". It's by far the best pano software I have come across, looks seamless.

The camera is TINY, and takes great pics for the price. I paid $549 Canadian.

I have an olympus C-3000 that I believe does panoramas, and I also think the one I had before the C-3000, the Olympus D-360 did panoramic pics.

Olympus c5050 can do panorama if you use the xD-picture card.

But it's not a small camera :)

i have the same camera right now. ps s230. i also like the camera, but i wish it had a little more zoom, and true panorama...

The panorama feature I was thinking about was a lot like that. You snap pictures, and the camera guides you so they will fit together in a panorama, as you take them.

I like the Canon PowerShot A70

My Canon Ixus 330(very small, but still very strong) can do that.

I think the nme of that one in the US is "Canon powershot S330"

it can do a wide panorama image in a single shot? i'm pretty sure that camera is basically one rung above my s230...

You have to make one picture, and then goto the right(or left) and make another one in panorama mode, and it makes it good itself...But not single click panorama.

I'm thinking about buying the Olympus C-750 Ultra Zoom when it's available. Here's a review of the C-740:
