Just bought a Nikon cool pix 5700 - saved my life and production company. One handed operation, lightweight, high res, records quickly, big lens, can't beat it.

I bought the Sony F707 about a year ago, I didn't really like it. The features were ok, but you couldn't take any detailed close-up shots.

I'd rather go with a Nikon.

I kinda like the 990's swivel lens though.... I would miss that. I can turn it up, down, or spin it all the way around backwards, and frame everything up in the screen... kinda nice. But the camera is too slow for my comfort after seeing that Sony in action.

Sell it on E-bay. Tell em it was owned by a famous pornographer and that it will bring the buyer good luck with the ladies. I'll bet you sell it in less than 15 minutes.

the nikon 5700 has a swivel monitor - that's the main reason I bought it. I cannot shoot without that feature, or simplicity or light weight.
