Who owns this site?
http://homegrownvideo.com they have the most stolen content in there includeing mine.
|
Damnit! Where's the "<-- You are Here" drama indicator when you need it? Hurry up, juicy!
SpaceAce |
no idea, but if what you say is true then img src them
|
not me... try searching who owns the domain.
|
Popup hell.
|
its part of cybererotica's programs
not exactly sure who is the actual owner though |
Let me know what you find. I didn't see the name of the billing company.
|
Seriously? You've never heard of Homegrown? They've been one of the largest amateur porn companies since the 80s I think...starting out with mail-order stuff.
I'm sure Farrell would take any stolen content allegations very seriously. [email protected] |
WTF?
|
That doesnt sound like something they would do. theyve been around for ever. Try to email them, im sure it there is truely stolen content they would like to know about it as much as anyone....
|
badseed
What are you referring to specifically? Please feel free to e-mail me any issues you have and I will help resolve them personally. [email protected] |
Why do I get weird redirects when I go to http://www.homegrownvideo.com ?
|
Shit someone is hooked up with homegrown, that was a fast repsonse.
|
This story sounds strange.

What redirects are you getting? Can you e-mail me a screen shot? |
I was checking my stats and my Referrer list said 7686 hits from http://www.homegrownvideo.com/homegr...egrownhelp.php . We have never exchaned links so what's in your members area thats sending hits to my site?
|
Could be a script faking the referrer...
Dont know whythey would use homegrown as the referer, but programmers screw up all the time ..... |
So you come here with allegations of stolen content based on a referrer line in your stats? You've not seen any content, you've not seen the inside of their site - you're just going on a referrer stat??
Egads - what if there's a message board inside and a member dropped the URL to your site and folks came to take a look? What if a friend of yours is a cam model for them and dropped a link to you and folks came over? Basing allegations of stolen content and not *knowing* for sure that your content is inside is pretty brazen, to say the least. |

Our tech team is trying to ICQ you now to help you understand the source of your traffic. A refer from our site does not constitute stolen content from you. In the future you may want to at least try to approach a person before calling them out on the boards IMO it is a drastic thing to do and should only be done if all else has failed. |

sue him.
he's hurting your good name. |
If this is the same homegrownvideo that was founded in San Diego I can personally tell you they are an extremely honest company. I have approached them several times and they have always been very upfront about the documentation

HomeGrown is straiiight up
|
Thanks to everyone for the support and validation.
There is only one true, authentic, historic, epic Homegrown Video and we are it. We strive for a golden reputation by dint of living by the golden rule. |
Seriously, you just posted, and I quote, "http://homegrownvideo.com they have the most stolen content in there includeing mine."
How do you know ANY of what you just said? A line in your logs? How is this possible? IF they stole content from you do you really think they would link you? Chances are you just burned all your bridges with them, they're great guys. And if they indeed did send you 7686 clicks, you can be sure that they will never send one more. Most webmasters I know of are THANKFUL for clicks. You get on the boards and start maliciously slandering them without knowing any of the facts. Professionalism, people! |
time for a new nick bro.

This would have to be one of the most moronic posts I have seen. Your signature says you use multiple credit cards to get sales "Im emailing all your sponsors and having all your accounts canceled for fraud. You are a theif and I have proof its in every post you have made. |

try a little harder. They deserve a way better public apology - and you need to email GFY - and ask them to edit your post - to take out your allegations. for their benefit - and the sake of your future reputation. this makes all parties look bad. mistakes happen, but you owe them a pretty big apology on this one |

To all concerned: Thank you for the mountain of compliments; our gratitude is all encompassing as a blue sky.
Badseed: No worries. In fact I am grateful for you helping us find an interesting anomaly that will have to be addressed with our marketing partner, CE. Next time do take heed from your lesson here. Take it up privately before you hit the boards. We could have saved you from a few of these "checks on the boards" being so bruising... |

What you did badseed, was almost as bad as pointing a huge finger of blame at an adult.com site |
All our international traffic right now is going to dialers.
Sorry. I am not ectstatic about that either. Charley... we did mention this before to you I believe. |
Charley: Thanks for posting that. It is not Homegrown Video and I am sorry that you cannot see what we really are about.... unless of course you want to lease our streams or something... lol... I would have to be a fool not to grease some spam here at some point...if i didn't they would send me back to the Jonathon Silverstein School of Marketing...
|
if i look up our stats i see nuffin but domains we do not redirect or link to, esp the end of the list, a couple of 1000 hits to a domain or members dir ive never seen before. Asked some ppl one time and they all said : fake reproc links for tgp scripts or something like that. Not gonna be bothered by those couple of 1000 hits...
BTW dont be ashamed, i wrote a lotta emails too in the early days to those ppl and they all went like i dont even know you... |
Quote:
Can you go after the server/host? I could just report them to APIC to see if they have any of the members content, usually an email from them gets the desired result. We can all learn a lot from the J$tyle$ School of Marketing. Here's one thing I learnt recently from him $35 less 95% = $1.75 :1orglaugh |

Treating UK as "international" doesn't seem like a good idea to me, if that means sending it to dialers. UK traffic is nice.
|
Gothweb: Couldn't agree with you more...
Charley: You are right... but the traffic issue is something we will have to take up with CE. |
Far-L,
Our Follow Me Free and Pay It Forward programs have a dialer bypass linking option which allows webmasters to turn off the dialer redirect. We are going to add this linking option to HomeGrownFree as well. It will be updated in the Tools & HTML section shortly. I've talked to Spike and sent him the linking code to use so that type in traffic for HomeGrownVideo.com can bypass the dialer redirect system. Have a great day, Mike B |
