I have a plan that i want to execute.

There is this line of videos that i want to make into a paysite.

Currently there is only one paysite of its kind. I know for a fact that their site sucks shit since I have been promoting it and have found NO retention what so ever with them.

How do i go about contacting the producer of the video line? I really think that i can do alot better than what they are currently doing.

Find the name of the producer, their address and phone number.....then just pick up the phone and dial.

If they produce the video on DVD or VHS, buy a copy...all the info will be there.

What i meant was that they have exclusive RIGHTS to the video content.

But the thing is, they arent retaining like they could be.

Thats why im asking whether or not i can somehow get the video content.

So people who buy exclusive content should lose the rights to it if they dont convert as well as you think you could with the content?

well.. im not sure what they buy, but they have exclusive rights onto the videos.

The videos came around 1999 in vhs format and does really well in the vhs world.

I know that ppl on kazaa would love these videos too, so there is a demand out there for it.

All im saying is that if i had that content, i can be sure it would retain better. ITs a niche too.

You really need to get your head checked. They have exclusive RIGHTS to the video content and you still want to aquire it? Are you daft? Exclusive means ONE PERSON has rights.

I've got some great ideas in the works, hopefully they'll be released sometime in the near future. One of my best ideas involves two guys with a handful of cash and a bus... I won't go into specifics, but I don't think anything like this has been done before. I'm so excited!!

I know where you can get videos of THREE guys with a handful of cash and a minivan, but it might be exclusive, so you'll just have to contact the cameraman and ask if you can buy his exclusive content.

Kinda long the same lines what are the going rates per video that you would pay the producer for the rights to use it non exclusively and exclusively? Trying to get a good idea becuase I am about to do the same with a guy for a project.

The rights now lie with the paysite you are talking about, and the producer couldn't sell to anyone else without breaching their contract with the first customer. If you want to buy content that is exclusive, you have to buy it from the person who has exclusive rights.

ok How much is the going rate for buying a licenase not exclusive liceanse just a liceanse to use a preshot video that was done on vhs. We are not talking about paying a photograhper to shoot it. BUYING A LICEANSE to a predone vhs type.

Do content producers even care if they sell exclusive videos and the guy builds a shitty site with it that doesn't convert?
