You guys keep more or less open on a regular basis?

usually no more than 4. 1 windows explorer, avid, after fx and my girlfriend always talking to me on msn :winkwink:

she doesnt come over?

i was considering giving my girlfriend a laptop since i have several, and letting her msg me when she wants to talk.

she got pissed when i brought it up since she is always 10 feet away in the same room, lol

I usually keep like 10 wihtings open. I use two comps as well so this helps

not sure how id handle long distance relationships.

well, it's just for short periods of time.... like 4-5 months a year so its not that bad.

winpro fucking rocks man!!!

i use XP because it came pre-installed with photoshop, if i switch OS i lose it and gotta pay for it.

I get about 2 months uptime with winXP, get about 4.5 month uptime with winpro

When did XP start shipping free copies of Photoshop?

pre-installed computer, but dont you have any recovery CD ?

yes i have a recov cd, but theres only 2 options:

1) full recover
2) exit


so if i put winpro then pop in my recov cd to get my PS back, i lose my winpro, lol

well what you can actually try to do is ready the image on the recovery cd (depending what format it is of course, it's often norton ghost images) and check if they have the installer for photoshop, if not then... shame on that cd.

I have my XP disc in hand and it has no photoshop on it.

I bought a new machine yesterday, brand new latest updates XP, no photoshop.

no, os to my knowledge ships free copies of photoshop.

he prolly has bundled software from some computer builder, buy one of our computers and EXCLUSIVELY get photoshop 3.0LE along with it!

1) lock taskbars, frees up space
2) get MyIE2 http://www.myie2.com/, put all your IEs in one window (fucking awesome program, i love it - mouse gestures too)
3) Trillian. save up even more space (and resources)

with these tips, 10 of your windows can be reduced to 2.. increase your productivity cause you wont be messing around with so much shit
