dialup and broadband version of website
 

Do any sponsors have both a dialup version and a broadband version of the members area? This might help retention. People on dialup wait FOREVER for a normal paysite tour to open, they dont want to wait around in the members area. Make an all text version with more of a feature on pics than movies for dialup users. Might help retention

this has always been my question to sponsors but one i've never actually gotten answered. Personally, when i'm on dialup, if a site is too slow loading I don't stick around and that would cause me to not sign up for some sites. Just my opinion though.

My members area loads pretty fast, I don't load it down with graphics. But the one thing my dial up members did ask for was short clips of my movies. So now I offer both the long version and a bunch of little clips and everyone's happy.

I would love to see someone test the theory on a new site and offer on the entrance page both a dial up tour and a hi speed tour. Who cares once they pay the membership and get inside they'll wait for it to load because they've already paid for it but if there's a faster tour then they may very well buy if they're on dial up. One of you sponsors want to test the theory with a new or established site?

you dont want members to stay longer and chargeback less? why the fuck not?

If someone on dialup buys access, finds out its all movies and high-end graphics, why the fuck should he stay? It'll take him 5 hours to download a movie clip. Chargeback.

If the site loads fasts and he gets to see what he wants, he'll stay a members for the next month if the site isnt complete shit.
