i haven't used opera for about... uhh... 2 years i think. not bad, just installed the free version. could probably get used to this again. IE just fucks up way too much. netscape is alright though too, i don't mind it too much...

If you design stuff though you need to check it always in IE which is what 99% of the surfers are using now it seems.

yeah, that's why this time around i installed netscape, so i could make sure they everything is netscape and IE compat. i gotta get a browser and stick with it though... before this last reinstall i was using netscape exclusively because IE kept fucking up all the time (mostly with the saving images and that bs to bmp).

although it looks like opera has the gifs all fucked up.. they play in slow motion, what's up with that???


any other good browsers out there? haven't tried any alternatives to ie/netscape since i used to use opera.

i use safari (mac only). ie only for testing when required.

yeah, but i doubt my hardware would like safari...

no, i've been _thinking_ of getting me a mac... but i've got me some abit goodness with some amd cheer slapped on top.

hmm.. this thing is kinda screwy... not sure if i like it or not....


but it's faster than IE, and doesn't lock up all the fucking time! yay!

i guess that can be caused by your IE cache being filled up on the hard drive. but, i've got 2384mb allocated to cache (on the low side)... so i dunno. it still does it to me from time to time. think it's just time for a clean slate.

Opera is the fastest browser of them all... GREAT alternative.

I used Opera 6 but it had trouble with some java applets and some images, so I tried Mozilla and I haven't gone back. I still have IE to double check sites, but I do all my surfing in Mozilla. Just love the sidebar and the google search. :)
