How much talent does it take to sell high-end 'quality' content at 80-95% discount? I'm just trying to figure out what it is about J$tyle$ and why what he is doing is such a great accomplishment.

Can you guys imagine how many sales Matrix Content could make if they cut their stuff by 80-95%? Charly could afford to buy a few more houses if he did this. I would venture to say that any content producer out there would make more sales if they cut their content by 80-95% in price.

When J$tyle$ does this, he's a "great salesman" and a "marketing genius" as I've heard someone refer to him. If he were really a great salesman and marketing genius, he would sell the content at regular price and generate just as much money. Anybody can give their shit away, it takes real talent however, to sell it at market value and still make money.

Dean, you know I love your content and I wish you well but I have to say all of you content guys are playerhating.

Look at it like this:
If you sell it cheap and fast you will make fast $$$.

If you sell it slow and expensive you will make the same money but it will take a while.

Factor in the time differences and the work that it would take to keep shooting content and it works out to be the same.

Actually, the fast method is better when you are selling higher priced $1000 and up sets. I think content producers overestimate the importance of exclusive or semiexclusive picture content.

Exclusive videos matter now a days. Surfers don't join several sites at a time in most cases so they aren't likely to care that they may have seen a set or two somewhere else if they ever do see them and remember the girl (unlikely).

So I say shoot it fast and sell it faster for $1000 or more only.

Hey man - I hear ya'. Only thing - I'm not a content guy anymore. And...I don't think I'm playerhating here. I'm simply confused at how somebody can call themselves a great salesman when they are giving away their product at 80-95% off.

If I were a car salesman, you can bet your ass I'd be salesman of the month if I sold cars at 80-95% off. I'd sell more cars than anyone - don't you think? Would you buy a car from me if I could sell it to you at that kind of discount? Of course you would - and you'd send all your friends to me as well. Does this make me a great salesman? Hardly!

First of all I am the one that said "marketing genius". I was referring to his ad campaign.

Second, some of you will never learn. The other content providers have never sold their content cheap so they have no idea what the results would be. I would venture to say he sales more $$$$ in content at reduced prices than most of the others do at full price. Regardless of the overexposure, more profit per set shit, I doubt he would be selling so cheap if it wasn't making him MORE money. Personally, I could give a rats ass about the content in my members area. I want my content cheap because I sell memberships cheap. I would pay his price where I wouldn't pay the others.

Until you try it (which most never will) how in the hell can you say that he makes the same money as he would the other way. You just don't know. I've "blown out" lots of shit before and I have always made a bigger profit than I would have selling it "slow and steady".
