the problem isnt the movies themselves. its that Hollywood is actually dead.
If you had a truly creative idea. a story that could make the best film of all time, do you think there would be a snowballs chance in hell you could get that idea anywhere close to the accountants, lawyers, and bankers who run the ship now?
Because of the media conglomerates, everything has become so nitty-gritty formulaic. Same franchises, same actors (well, dumber and dumberest i guess not) same recycled crap. Nothing is coming from within...all the ideas are retreads. there is no originality.

Its the best book about hollywood ever published. Funny classic shit from when guys like spielberg and lucas were snot nosed punks trying to break in.
