well, when i was into povray, i was like a freshman in high school (so i guess more than 6 years ago), nobody knew about it, and it seemed very much like one of those off-the-wall .org programs that worked well, but just wasn't used all that much. it seemed (although i'm probably wrong) that it was quite new at the time, and hadn't gained a ton of popularity. i see it's grown up quite a bit.. that's varra nice! i remember we started using it because we were building a video game. we got quite a bit into it, and we made our own cool http log analyzer... what the hell was that called... webhits, yes i think that was it. our program was better than *anyone's* out there, and we were going to release it as free. i should see if i still have a working copy somewhere. we were even beginning to add in a feature that it would email you postscript reports and stuff. it was pretty sweet, and at the time way better than anything else we could find.

oh well, those were the days.

Maya, 3D Max, Rhino, Poser, There are a couple other... I just cannot think right now.... 1st cup of coffee. :)
